Paper bubbles

Roger is a musician, trumpet player, who is in love with bubbles and round things, that’s why everything in his house is round. Roger spends night and day trying to unite his two passions, trumpet and bubbles, and that’s why he wants to blow bubbles with his trumpet, but he is not succeeding.

One day, in the middle of a dream, he arrives in Bombalia, the land of bubbles. There he meets Bumbú, a mischievous fairy who lives in Bombalia with bubbles of all kinds. Bumbú, just like all bubbles, communicates through movement, without words.

When Bumbú sees that Roger is unable to blow bubbles with his trumpet in the real world, she visits him from Bombalia to help him achieve his goal. Bumbú, curious about humans, always observes them, and when they are sad, lose their illusion, imagination or movement, she approaches them to try to give them back their desire to play, laugh, imagine and dance.

Paper bubbles is an interactive and participative show aimed at family audiences by the company Múcab Dans, with dance, live music and multimedia interaction.

It is a visual and plastic proposal that plays with the child’s (and adult’s) imagination, transporting them to a space where everything is possible. A journey through a fantastic world full of bubbles made of soap, paper, digital bubbles, balloons, shadows, black light…
